チア－アズナブル correct translation

Dear japanese native speaking fans!
I beg your help in translating issues!
Being great Gundam fan i started project on making subbed translation of first Gundam (0079）　to russian language.
While translating it I had strange feeling about correct translation of name チャア　アズナブル　
Traditionally this name transliterated as "Aznable" but some russian translators calls him "Aznavour" as it more similar to japanese reading of this katakana symbols.
So, please, if you have any opinion, tell me which one is better?
I will carefully read everything about it.

シャアの綴り
    上記の通りシャルル・アズナヴール (Charles Aznavour) が元ネタであるため、後にシャアの綴りはフランス語風にCharと付けられた（なお、アズナブルの綴りが固まったのは90年代後半である）。しかし富野はそれを知らなかったため、『機動戦士ガンダム 逆襲のシャア』における主役モビルスーツをHi-Sガンダムと名付けようとしていた。これは「シャアを超える」という意味であったが、前述の通りシャアの頭文字はCであると指摘されたため、この案は立ち消えとなった。
    結局主役ガンダムの名前はもめにもめ、最終的に次回作に登場するガンダムであったため、NEWガンダムという仮称で呼ばれていたのがちょうどギリシア文字のνとうまく合致したため、そのままもじってνガンダムと名付けられた。小説『機動戦士ガンダム ハイ・ストリーマー』というタイトルや、『CCA-MSV』に登場するHi-νガンダムの名称はここから来ている。
